How to Install host software package in Debian 8 (Jessie)

host software package provides Transitional package, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install host

host is installed in your system.

Make ensure the host package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep host *

You will get with host package name, version, architecture and description in a table
